Etihad Airways Breaks New Ground with Direct Flights to Bali

In a significant expansion of its flight services, Etihad Airways is set to introduce direct flights to Bali for the first time. Commencing on April 23, the premier carrier of the UAE will deploy its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on a four-times-weekly schedule to the alluring Indonesian island.

The flight plan for the Abu Dhabi to Bali route, identified as EY476, will initiate departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Takeoff is scheduled for 10:25 pm from Abu Dhabi's Terminal A, touching down at Bali's Denpasar International Airport at 11:35 am. The return journey, EY477, will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, lifting off from Bali at 6:45 pm and reaching Abu Dhabi at 11:45 pm.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this groundbreaking development, Etihad Airways Chief Executive Antonoaldo Neves stated, "We are thrilled to announce our first-ever flights to Bali. This exciting development follows closely on the heels of our dynamic Summer 24 schedule, reinforcing our dedication to expanding our network in tune with the needs of our customers so they can travel to their desired destinations in comfort and style."

Neves highlighted Bali's irresistible charm, describing it as the "quintessential tropical escape" adorned with lush landscapes, vibrant culture, and captivating beaches. Emphasizing the strategic timing of the flights, he noted that passengers could relish extended weekends on the island.

Bali has long been a favored destination for its idyllic beaches, expansive rice fields, vibrant flower gardens, cascading waterfalls, and concealed canyons. Since reopening to tourists in March, the island has experienced a surge in international visitors, notably from countries like Australia, India, and Russia. By July, Bali had already surpassed its annual target for international arrivals, registering 4.25 million visitors between January and May against a set target of 4.5 million for the entire year, according to tourism ministry statistics.

Etihad Airways' strategic initiative exemplifies the airline's commitment to adapting its services to align with the evolving travel preferences of its customers, providing enhanced connectivity to sought-after destinations like Bali.
