Riley Keough to Launch Nationwide Book Tour for Lisa Marie Presley's Poignant Posthumous Memoir

Riley Keough, the Emmy-nominated actress, has announced a forthcoming fall book tour to promote her late mother Lisa Marie Presley's posthumous memoir, "From Here to the Great Unknown." Set to hit shelves on October 8, the memoir, completed by Keough after her mother's passing in early 2023, offers an intimate exploration of Presley's life and legacy.

"From Here to the Great Unknown" is a unique account penned by Lisa Marie Presley with finishing touches by her daughter, Riley. The book reveals the personal highs and lows of Presley's life, including her experiences with fame, love, and loss. Crafted from memories and narratives left by Lisa Marie, as well as recordings she made, the book provides an unprecedented look at her inner world, far removed from her identity as simply the daughter of Elvis Presley.

The book tour will kick off in New York City on October 9, shortly after the book's release, and will include stops in major cities such as St. Louis, Nashville, London, and Memphis, with a special event planned at the iconic Graceland estate. The tour will conclude in Los Angeles on October 20. Each event promises to be a heartfelt tribute to Lisa Marie, featuring conversations with Riley Keough and a special guest, as they delve into stories of American royalty, the unshakeable bond between mother and daughter, and the timeless influence of the Presley family.

The memoir's cover, which was revealed in June, features a poignant illustration of a young Lisa Marie with her legendary father, Elvis Presley. The narrative spans the complexities of Lisa Marie's personal journey, from her early years at Graceland, her life in Los Angeles with her mother, Priscilla, to her own battles with addiction and the deep grief of personal losses.

Riley has described the process of completing her mother's memoir as both therapeutic and emotional, helping her to feel closer to her mother. She expressed her excitement about sharing a side of her mother that few have seen, one that depicts her vulnerability and honesty. Through this book, Riley hopes to extend her mother's memory beyond the public persona and share the profound impact she had on her life.

The tour announcement was made via a social media post by the publisher, Random House, inviting fans to join Riley for a one-of-a-kind conversation celebrating her mother's extraordinary life. The events are designed not just as book readings, but as a series of engagements that promise deep insights into the Presley legacy, enriched by personal anecdotes and memories.

As Riley prepares to take her mother's story on the road, she reflects on the importance of completing the project, a task that her mother had embarked on several years prior to her passing. The process, according to Riley, is a way to honor her mother's memory and share her true essence with the world, offering readers a chance to understand and appreciate Lisa Marie Presley in a new and profound way.
