Childish Gambino Announces "Bando Stone & The New World" Album Release and Debuts New Single "Lithonia"

Excitement builds among Childish Gambino fans as the artist, also known as Donald Glover, announces the release date for his upcoming album, "Bando Stone & The New World." Set to drop on July 19 via RCA Records, this marks Glover's sixth studio album.

Alongside the album announcement on July 2, Glover treated fans to the first single from the album, "Lithonia," available for listening now. This release follows the complete version of his 2020 album "3.15.20," titled "Atavista," which was released on May 13.

Glover also shared news of an accompanying world tour starting on August 11 at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City and concluding on October 3 at the United Center in Chicago.

Adding to the buzz, at the recent BET Awards, Glover premiered a movie trailer for "Bando Stone & The New World," where he stars as Bando Stone, a musician navigating a post-apocalyptic world. The film's release date, however, remains unannounced.

During the awards, Glover performed an acapella tribute to Usher and humorously expressed his thoughts on his BET Awards recognition compared to his Grammy accolades, prompting laughter and applause from the audience.

The artist last won a BET award in 2019 for the video of the year with his impactful song "This Is America."
